Mahjong Club The Hague Circles Mission
Our non-profit association of volunteers only , wants to put mahjong as a mind sport on the map in The Hague and surroundings. Our association is social and cozy, the mahjong game as a mind sport promotes cognitive fitness for young and old. Our volunteers organize courses and other promotional activities as well as weekly game nights to promote mahjong as a mind sport at a high level. We also support informal initiatives in The Hague and surroundings.

At the Haagse Kringen you will find yourself in a pleasant and good company! With us you will find pleasantness and good company for everyone, regardless of cultural background, religion or sexual preference.
Our club stands for sportsmanship, respect and social safety, where courtesy and avoiding transgressive unwanted behaviour are of paramount importance. So come along and play the fun and cozy game of mahjong with us!

The Circles are according to tradition the first original "color" of the Mahjong game. The symbolism that the different circle tiles are attributed, give us a lot of choice how the Circles fit with The Hague. From the Moon from the Bottom of the Sea, to Justice, the Hope for Happiness and Fortune as well as Authority and Heroism.
Our members come not only from all over The Hague and the Haaglanden region, but even from far beyond, to Zoetermeer, Rijnsburg, Vlaardingen and Gouda. We also have two NMB tournament players from Limburg and Overijssel who enjoy participating in NMB tournaments through our club license.
Where?
We play every Wednesday evening from 19:30 at a great location made available by the oldest korfball association in the Netherlands, the canteen of HKC ALO located in the Bosjes van Pex with normally sufficient free parking. The playing location is centrally located at the Evert Wijtemaweg 6 , in the Bohemen district, centrally between the districts: Bloemenbuurt, Vruchtenbuurt, Kijkduin, Vogelwijk, Bomenbuurt, Houtwijk and Loosduinen.
We have invested in good air quality through excellent ventilation and air quality measurements as well as a hand hygiene facility.
INFORMAL INITIATIVES IN THE HAGUE REGION THAT WE SUPPORT
Our association emerged from the Mahjong Initiative in The Hague , which was launched back in 2015. We are proud of the initiative and our club, but we will also continue to promote Mahjong as a Mind Sport in The Hague and surrounding areas.

Our association Mahjong Club Haagse Kringen is centrally located between Bohemen, Vruchtenbuurt, Bomenbuurt.

We now support four informal initiatives in The Hague, each with its own page on our website:
